Delete your account from inside the app
The fastest way to delete everything is directly in COCO:
- Open the COCO app and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. Your account and all its data are then permanently erased.
Delete a single document instead
If you only want to remove one document rather than your whole account, open that document and choose Delete. The file and its reminders are removed immediately, and your account stays active.
What gets erased
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- All documents and uploaded files (images and PDFs)
- All extracted details — document types, numbers, issue and expiry dates, issuers
- All reminders and their schedules
- Your profile and preferences (name, notification settings, theme)
- Your push notification tokens and sign-in record
Backups and retention
Active data is deleted immediately when you delete your account. Any copies held in encrypted backups are purged within 30 days. Security audit logs (a record of sensitive actions, not your document contents) are retained for up to 12 months as described in our Privacy Policy, then deleted.
Lost access to your account?
If you can no longer sign in — for example you've lost access to your email or Google account — we can delete your data on request. Email us from the address associated with your COCO account so we can verify your identity:
Subject: Account deletion request. We'll confirm and complete the deletion, and the same 30-day backup purge applies.
